    WA Operations Lead

    The key purpose of this role is to lead the successful execution of parts production in the ZEC center, through the management of the necessary processes, quality parameters, resources & equipment.  

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    • Establish & maintain high standards of safety & 5s in a workshop environment.
    • Drive compliance to VPO SAFE & local legal standards
    • Interpret Manufacturing drawings & participate in design reviews
    • Participate in Root cause and component failure analysis
    • Manage production backlog & implement workflow systems to streamline production outputs
    • Manage key performance indicators associated with the ZEC centre
    • Supervise CNC operators while they execute machining tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
    • Manage learning & development of ZEC centre resources
    • Ensure quality checks are executed & parts produced conform to quality standards & requirements
    • Management of storage & shipping of raw materials & finished goods
    • Ensure stock levels are maintained for required tooling & materials
    • Drive cost savings initiatives in a workshop environment by reducing waste & prolonging tool life
    • Update & maintain ZEC reports
    • Check and maintain machinery & facilities daily to ensure functionality
    • Ensure effective waste management is maintained

    Profile:

    • Min – N6 Mechanical Engineering
    • A minimum of 5 Years design & fabrication experience.
    • Prior Engineering workshop experience, operating CNC machinery.
    • Experience in using CAD/CAM software, Autodesk Inventor preferred
    • A superior performance track record
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to manage complex projects of a significant number
    • High level of resilience and ability to operate in a high-pressure environment

    Electronic Repair Technician

    The key purpose of this role is to manage the electronics repair centre and the flow calibration services.

    Key roles and responsibilities:

    • Establish & maintain high standards of safety & 5s in a workshop environment.
    • Troubleshooting and the repair of electronic equipment on test instrumentation, meters and electromagnetic devices
    • Identify the need for spare parts and maintain a database of all spare parts used/allocated for the repair of products
    • Ability to read and interpret a schematic diagram.
    • Identify the defects and failures of test instrumentation, meters and electromagnetic devices
    • Read and comprehend complex manuals and diagrams for product testing and fault finding
    • Prepare reports and maintain a detailed repair database on all products including cost savings
    • Calibration of Flow meters
    • Maintenance of the electronics laboratory and flow rig

    Profile:

    • Min. N4 Electronics/N4 Instrumentation/ND Electrical Engineering Light Current/Mechatronics Diploma
    • 1-2 Years’ experience in a similar role.
    • Computer Literate (MS Office)

    Brewing Instrument Artisan

    The key purpose of this role is to operate, maintain, and plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality, maintain equipment and process control equipment systems in the Brewing and E&F plant and conducts maintenance and troubleshooting on measurement and control.

    Key roles and responsibilities:

    • Interpret and implement production plan for the shift

    Packaging Artisan

    The key purpose of this role is to provide specialised dual artisan skill and knowledge to the shift team, and to support the operations, maintenance and problem-solving activities of the shift teams.

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    Operational Support

    • Provide specialist support to the shift-based teams during operations.
    • Assist as functional expert in problem solving
    • This must be undertaken in support of the Process Artisan. This role can also be the Process Artisan on shift.

    Planned Maintenance

    • Take part in maintenance planning meeting, contributing suggestions and clarifying work required
    • Carry out work during the planned maintenance outage in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule issued by the Maint. Planner 
    • Partake in maintenance post-mortems to feedback problems, opportunities and learnings from maintenance activities

    Routine Maintenance

    • Partake in cleaning, lubrication and inspection in accordance with the maintenance schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner
    • Carry out routine maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule
    • Where problems have been uncovered during routine maintenance, these must be resolved using the appropriate problem-solving techniques

    Running Repairs

    • Partake in carrying out running repairs on plant and equipment, or support the Process Artisans in carrying out repairs
    • When carrying out repairs, assess the problem and determine a course of action 
    • Complete the administration tasks relating to any running repairs  carried out as per CMMS requirements

    Problem Solving

    • Where problems have occurred during routine activities, apply the correct problem-solving approach to resolve
    • Where required, call in additional resources to assist in problem solving or escalate to the Maintenance Controller for direction
    • Assist fellow team members to resolve problems

    Housekeeping and Safety

    • Operate safely at all times, and identify and highlight unsafe work practices so that these may be corrected
    • Carry out work according to the work instructions and adhere to appropriate AB InBev policies and procedures
    • Carry out housekeeping tasks, and apply 5S principles during the execution of duties

    Minimum Requirements:

    • National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical)
    • Min – 3 - 5 years in a packaging bottling or FMCG production environment" 
    • Experience: 1-2 Years technical mechanical/electrical experience in an FMCG environment
    • 1-3 Years technical mechanical/electrical and bottling experience in a leadership capacity in an FMCG environment
