    Provost

    Job Description

    • Candidate for the post of Provost must demonstrate evidence of strong academic and administrative leadership, creative policy formulation, as well as concrete evidence of contribution to the advancement of learning and service to humanity.
    • He/she should have good human relations and appropriate managerial attributes.

    Duties

    • The Provost is the Chief Executive Officer and Academic Head of the College.
    • He/she is expected to provide academic, administrative and professional leadership under the direction of the Governing Council of the College for the achievement of the set out objectives of the College.
    • While ensuring efficiency and good discipline, he/she shall foster good rapport with the relevant organs of Government and other professional bodies for the attainment of all objectives of the College.

    Qualification and Experience

    • Candidates should possess a Doctorate Degree from a recognized University in a field relevant to the programs of the College with a minimum of fifteen (15) years post-qualification cognate experience.
    • Possession of a professional teaching qualification (a minimum of NCE or PGDE) and computer literacy is MANDATORY.
    • Candidates must have held a senior academic and administrative post in an institution of higher learning and must not be below the rank of a Principal Lecturer in a College of Education or its equivalent in a University or relevant Institution.
    • Candidates must be registered with at least two professional bodies relevant to their area of specialization.
    • Candidates must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years at the time of assumption of duty.
    • Candidates must be of good conduct and possess a sense of discipline, dedication, drive, and resourcefulness.
    • He/she must be free from personal, ethnic, political, or religious bias, and must never have been convicted of any criminal offense.

    Terms of Appointment

    • The appointment is for a period of four (4) years.
    • The salary and other benefits attached to the post are in accordance with the College Conditions and Scheme of Service which is consolidated.

    Registrar

    Job Description

    • The Registrar shall be the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration of the College and serve as the Secretary to the Governing Council and Committees of the Council.

    Qualification and Experience
    The candidate for the post must possess the following qualifications and qualities:

    • Hold a First Degree with a minimum of second class lower division or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least lower credit in any field relevant to the programs of the College obtained from a recognized institution of higher learning.
    • Have a minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience for First Degree and HND holders, or Master's Degree in relevant disciplines with a minimum of twelve (12) years post qualification cognate experience, or a Doctorate degree (PhD) in relevant disciplines with a minimum of ten (10) years post qualification cognate experience at least 10 years of which must have been gained in the tertiary institution;
    • Be currently on the rank of Deputy Registrar for a period not less than five (5) years in a tertiary institution.
    • Be Proficient in communication skills
    • Be not more than fifty-nine (59) years of age.

    Terms of Appointment

    • The appointment is for a period of five (5) years.
    • The salary and other benefits attached to the post are in accordance with the College Conditions and Scheme of Service which is consolidated.
